PROJECT SUMMARY

ACG was requested to supply a WSO for the duration of the works at RAAF Pearce and Gin Gin. As part of ACG’s internal training, our WSO’s are part of the construction group and have a good understanding of the construction methodology and will always give solutions to the Contractor if any area becomes non-compliant to the MOS 139.

Project Capital Cost: $600k AUD

ROLE

WSO/ARO

PROJECT CHALLENGES AND OUTCOMES

ACG was required to become the interface between the Department of Defence and Laing O’Rourke to ensure all stakeholders were informed on the daily and weekly tasks. ACG WSO’s are trained internally to understand the complexities of all construction projects and to assist the contractor to ensure all works are carried out safety and left in accordance with the MOS 139 at the end of each shift. Due to the complexities of this particular project ACG’s Construction team was consistently in contact with the WSO’s giving advice on the construction issues and constraints, from this Laing O’Rourke identified that the WSO’s role was considered valuable to the performance and the timing of the project.
