PROJECT SUMMARY

ACG was requested to assist with the ARO/WSO role at Dubai International Airport for the SRR works. The works consisted of an Early works package (AGL’s) and the SRR works which consisted of the Southern Runway to be closed for 45days while it was being resurfaced. ACG WSO’s were the main interface between the DXB Duty team and the Contractor covering 7 days per week with 3 Personnel.

PROJECT CHALLENGES AND OUTCOMES

Dubai International Airport is considered one of the busiest airports in the world, ACG was required to go through extensive training to understand the layout of the airport. Their roles required ACG staff to adapt by understanding the local traditions, languages and political hierarchy within the workforce. ACG has formed a good relationship with the management team of Dubai International Airport and have been recommended to remain after the project has been completed.
