ACG were requested by Downer New Zealand to assist on the project delivery for the design and construction of the Faleolo Airport Runway Resurfacing, Apron Strengthening and extension including Airfield Lighting and Apron Flood Lighting. ACG also assisted with the Construction technical and Quality advice.

Design and Construction Management Consultant

Due to the remote location and the materials required to ensure the pavement could withstand the Aircraft loading, ACG was required to complete significant investigation into using Coral Stone crushed locally to produce aggregate to conform and had significant capacity to withstand the loads subjected to the pavement from the 787-900 Aircraft. These loads and stresses to the pavement meant ACG had to develop a combined aggregate specific envelop. Once these aggregates were produced ACG reviewed the outcomes and amended the design until a suitable pavement was achieved.
