PROJECT SUMMARY

ACG were engaged initially by the airline Air Vanuatu to provide guidance on the compliance of the aged runway pavement against International standards. CCECC were engaged by the World Bank and Vanuatu Government as the Head Contractor. Due to conflict between the Engineer to the Contract and the Contractor, ACG was engaged to work with the Contractor to ensure compliance to the Design and Specifications. Due to the collaboration between both companies the Vanuatu Government recommended to remove the current engineer and replace with ACG.

ACG have been engaged as the Engineer to the Contract and the Resident engineer. The works have progressed well with excellent results identified by the world bank audit which was carried out in March 2019.

PROJECT CHALLENGES AND OUTCOMES

The project was designed to New Zealand Standards which the Chinese were unfamiliar with, ACG the Resident engineer identified these constraints and was able to educate the Chinese on how to deliver the project with the required documentation which is required within these standards.
